International Compounding Corner

The International Compounding Corner (ICC) is designed as a resource for compounding facilities and related professionals who have questions about compounding practice not easily answered by existing regulations, standards or publications. 

 

Questions are answered by industry experts. Each answer is divided into three sections:

1. Relevant USP standard information

2. Relevant NAPRA Model Standard information

3. Industry best practice guidance

 

Questions may relate to nonsterile or sterile and hazardous or non-hazardous drug compounding and subject matter like engineering controls, facility materials and design, cleaning and disinfection; contamination control elements (aseptic technique, material handling, operator conduct and hand hygiene and garbing); documentation, automation, environmental sampling, assigning BUDs, visual inspection, personnel sampling, training, quality, hazardous drug (decontamination, work practices, donning/doffing, compounding, wipe sampling), inspection and accreditation and more.

Membership includes access to all previously asked and answered questions. These Q/As are searchable, so we ask that members check them before submitting new questions since your question may already have been answered.
